George Abramidze (born 1966) is a contemporary Georgian artist who specializes in Surrealist-inspired representations. He trained at the Kharkiv State Institute of Arts in Ukraine and the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in Georgia, and has exhibited his work internationally since the late 1980s. Art is a continuous state of exploration, dissatisfaction with the existing status quo and is based on everlasting spiritual thirst. Any human being, and especially a creative individual, always strives to recognize the unknown This painting is from George's "Dancing Houses" series. With this series, George Abramidze introduces us to the uniquely Georgian and yet very universal concepts. His houses are happy, dancing, twisted, surreal, and whimsical. They live in a carefree world, full of our friends and loved ones. Read more about George | ![]() |
