George Abramidze (born 1966) is a contemporary Georgian artist who specializes in Surrealist-inspired representations. He trained at the Kharkiv State Institute of Arts in Ukraine and the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in Georgia, and has exhibited his work internationally since the late 1980s.

Art is a continuous state of exploration, dissatisfaction with the existing status quo and is based on everlasting spiritual thirst. Any human being, and especially a creative individual, always strives to recognize the unknown

This painting is from George's "Dancing Houses" series. With this series, George Abramidze introduces us to the uniquely Georgian and yet very universal concepts. His houses are happy, dancing, twisted, surreal, and whimsical. They live in a carefree world, full of our friends and loved ones.

Original Oil on Canvas:

Original, authentic, and unique artwork painted typically with linseed oil paints on cotton or linen canvas.
Our paintings are stretched on wooden stretcher bars, stapled on the back of the painting, and a wooden (poplar or maple) stained frame around it.  If the "Gallery Wrap" is specified, that means that there's no wooden frame, and the canvas is wrapped around the edges.
All paintings are shipped from our gallery in San Francisco with a certificate of authenticity, hanging nails, and are ready to hang on a wall.

Giclée Paper:

A reproduction of the original artwork on archival paper.

For all of our reproductions, we first professionally photograph original artwork with a high-resolution 45MP+ camera.  After color correction, they are printed on Hahnemuhle 100% cotton PhotoRag archival paper on state-of-the-art Canon 12-pigment printers.  Read more here
